The Leica DUOVID 10+15x50 Binoculars bridges the gap between binocular and spotting scope This Duovid is a high performance binocular that, with a flick of the wrist, becomes a binocular-spotting scope. The 10x magnification allows for shake-free viewing and a larger field of view. By switching to 15x one achieves a level of detail recognition previously found only in spotting scopes. Due to its excellent image quality, the 50mm Duovid is ideally suited for low-light viewing. To allow for longer, fatigue free viewing, a tripod adapter is packaged with the binocular. The Leica Duovid is the ultimate in performance and versatility. The only high performance dual power binocular on earth, the Duovid allows the user to switch magnifications with just a simple rotation of the eyepiece rings. The Automatic Diopter Compensation (ADC™) maintains the user’s diopter setting and focus when switching between magnifications, allowing for a hle-free viewing experience at either magnification. High-Durable Coatings (HDC™) on external lenses improve image quality and protect the lenses from scratches and harmful environmental effects. The High Lux System (HLS™) on the Duovid is a 42-layer prism coating that increases usable light transmission and brings optical performance to never-before-seen levels. An aircraft-grade aluminum housing and solid stainless steel center axis pin provide maximum durability and superior balance of the two optical tubes. The Duovid is fully fogproof and also boasts Leica’s industry -leading waterproof submersion rating of 16.5ft, uring the user that their binocular will remain waterproof in any weather condition and at any conceivable elevation. The 10+15x50 Duovid includes Leica’s handy binocular tripod adapter inside the box, allowing the user to mount the Duovid to a tripod for a more stable view at 15x magnification.
